General Discussion / How To Stop Win 10 Auto-Update

I've heard this forced update will happen for all PC's unless you cancel it by end of June.
This is especially important for those of you with laptops as the update may screw your drivers and render your machine inoperable.

Find "Get Windows 10" in the System Tray
Right click on it
Select "Check your upgrade status"
A new window will appear
From here you can click to change install schedule or cancel the update

Sounds like it was a good as the year=end sale.

My big beef w/ GOG is that most of my 500+ titles from them no longer work thanks to Windows 8.1 not supporting DirectX 9 and earlier.

Anyone know what I can do with that?

I'm interested in the gold buying one in particular, gold buyers are a real pet-peve of mine b/c they wreck the in game economy when I go to the AH to sell things I legitamately received as drops.

OK, so admittedly, I've been a little cranky lately since I'm suffering withdrawl from computers, WOW, gainful employment, and Kylanti...

So I'm dealing with some RL stuff on the phone, and this automated computer system is just giving me all shades of crap.
Couldn't take it anymore, snapped, and stumbled on the perfect way to get a human on the line when the computer wants voice input, guaranteed!

Just growl like a murloc 3 times in a row!  The computer doesn't know what the hell to do ROFLMAO

Back in Shadowmoon Valley, I worked hard to please everyone and be a productive member of society.  Even though I was a simple farmer, I had gone to the finest schools and even developed a few of the latest techniques.

My first yearnings were not toward agriculture, but science; upholding family heritage was important to me, and I found a way to combine my desires with tradition.  Our family crest was a two-headed Labrador, and by the time I was a young man, it was clear to me that this sigil was alive in my blood and that of my fathers before me.  Warm of blood, loving unconditionall y, trusting of all, loyal to a fault, innocent, and slightly naive.

I had all the benefits of a good life and a refined upbringing.  Honestly, I was spoiled rotten, to a point that my insecurities brought out egoic tendencies.  Only now do I see how I grew up to resent the fact that I was sheltered and coddled, never allowed to go out into the world to learn how to deal with it on my own terms.  No wonder I was never happy...
