I've been out of the radio biz for over seven years now, but I've been missing it. So, I signed up for a class at CSU Stanislaus: "Broadcast Radio Laboratory." The laboratory part being that I get to do a show on the local college radio station, KCSS.
Now that I have a couple shows under my belt, and I'm starting to "get my groove back" (like Stella did... or maybe I'm finding a New Groove, like the Emperor...), I figured I should promote my self-serving ass.
I'm on the air Friday nights from 6 to 8 pm PST (that's 9 to 11 pm for the east coasters... the rest of you can figure it out for yourselves). The format is "Modern Rock," and I lean toward the more rockin' stuff.
I imagine you're thinking to yourself, "Self, I can't pick up that radio station. I don't live anywhere near Turlock, California."
Well, Self... don't be a idiot. This is the new millennium, where you can get anything and everything over the internet! For free! And crappy college radio shows are right there for your listening pleasure!
You can find a link to listen online here:
http://kcss.netI take requests. I probably won't play them, but I'll definitely take them. I hope you'll make me the soundtrack to your next LAN party!
