Raesene, also know as Raesene The Black. Nicknamed after his jet black hair and dark demeanor. Raesene was born from a noble family in Stratholme. His father, a paladin of some fame, insisted that his son follow in his footsteps to keep the family honor. While in training Raesene was often compared to his father which caused Raesene alot of resentment toward his father. Although resentful Raesene was unnaturally blessed with wielding the powers of the light and soon rose through the ranks to where he was givin a small detachment of men to command to patrol the city of Stratholme. Raesene was quite content in his command and thought the city would be safe while he was around. However he would proven tragically wrong. One night Raesene was awakened by the sounds of screaming and Warfare. Rushing out of his home Raesene was greeted by armored men baring the sigil of the King. Before he could ask what was going on he was attacked by the armored men. Using his powers Raesene barely managed to defeat his attackers. Angered Raesene questioned one of the wounded soldiers. He demanded to know what was the meaning of the attack on himself and on his city. Raesene was shocked to hear that Prince Arthas, son of the King, had ordered the burning and massacre of his people. Inraged, Raesene left the soldier to die while he went to find his father to warn him of the approaching army. While crossing the city bodies of men, women, and children layed across the city. Finally Raesene made it to the Center of the city where his father was battling many soldiers alone. Desperate Raesene went to help his father but befrore he could help Raesene was struck by and arrow and knocked to the ground. Before he lost conciousness Raesene heard one of the soldiers say "Quickly! Dispatch them before they can turn undead as Prince Arthas ordered!" There was nothing for awhile just blackness. Then a calm but forcefull voice said "You alright boy?" Raesene opened his eyes and there standing above him with his massive warhammer was Uther the Lightbringer, leader of the Paladins. With a feint smile the powerful paladin reached out his hand and help Raesene to his feet. What Raesene saw next made his heart drop. Destroyed, the whole city of Stratholme was completely destroyed. Also, the bodie of his father was lying not to far from where he was half charred by what looked like magic burns. Raesene?s only thought was why and revenge. Looking at the ruins of his beloved city Raesene made a vow to take vengenance for his family and for the people he was supposed to protect.
